I'd like to make more colors that you, the consumer, would like to see. So please let me know in my poll at dazzleglam.blogspot.com it is at the upper right corner. You can select multiple answers.
:)
Thanks!!
I saw them on Heartsy and figured since it was basically free (had credits from refunds) why not? I decided to get the 5 feathers custom made listing since the ones that were premade I wasn't a big fan of. There was no communication so I can't comment on that. I purchased my item Nov. 19th, and received my item probably 3-4 days ago. So shipping wasn't too bad, but it felt like forever just for a feather extension. I know she probably had a lot to do with the Heartsy vouchers and all. I just wish there was a TAT listed in the shop announcement. They came in a bubble mailer which is always nice, and they arrived safe and sound with two microbeads and a j hook to help install the extension. The colors I purchased were furnace, ginger, unique variant, cream, and hot pink badger, ONLY problem I have is that two of my feather look IDENTICAL.. I think it's the unique variant and cream ones.. The unique variant is supposed to be cream with black and brown markings, but it looks the same as the cream one pretty much. Can't tell the different to be honest. I wish she had better descriptions of the feathers since each one I picked WAS in fact a different color.. I won't purchase feather extensions from StoneznStix again most likely. The product it good, but it just irks me that two of the feathers look a like, and they are pretty much white/cream so it's not going to look that good on the person who I bought it for. I do like the idea, and there are a bunch of colors so don't let my complaint stop you from shopping there. It's not a bad indie company. I just ended up with something I didn't like.
I normally wouldn't buy these since I protest the use of them because it hurts the fishing industry. Rooster feathers are what are used in some fishing lures, and now since this has become a fashion item the prices have sky rocketed. Consider it a moment of weakness on my end. People who make their own items need support, and while it was free I saw no harm. It'll end up being a Christmas gift for someone who's been wanting them :)

Owner contacted me shortly after this was posted asking to have this review removed since when her shop is googled you see this review, and it has the part where I won't purchase from here again since I use the shop name again. I won't post screen shots of the messages or quote them here either. I just feel the initial one was unprofessional. The message was accompanied by a insulting comment on my blog and her and her "friend" or supplier idk added me on twitter. To attempt to avoid drama since I feel social media sites should not be filled with drama her and her accomplice were blocked. I feel this is an awful lot of nonsense to go through over a blog post. I had actually considered just revising the post a bit, but after a negative feedback was left for me as a buyer from her on etsy I feel no need to be considerate.
These are all my own personal opinions based on items purchased by me.
Please vote for the Ophelia colorway (which is mine) on @whimsybeading blog :) http://whimsybeading.blogspot.com/2011/11/your-favorite-colors-time-to-vote.html
If I somehow manage to win (which isn't likely) I'll be sure to create some colors based on my colorway for Psyche Minerals !!! :) Thx gals
So there is a survey up on Dazzleglam.Blogspot.com at the top right hand corner of the page (roughly) for you guys to let me know if I should start offering blushes, and if so what size you think I should offer them in besides sample sizes. I'm interested in offering a wider variety of mineral cosmetics, but only if you guys are interested. No sense in wasting money if the buyer is not interested in purchasing the items from you.. you know??? If you select yes please also pick what size you'd like to see them in. Thanks in advance for your help!
Survey closes on the 19th at MIDNIGHT

Working with Heartsy we have agreed upon featuring me Monday November 14th, and Sunday November 13th for VIP members ONLY. My feature will run for 72 hours with only 50 vouchers. So please keep an eye out for awesome deals for heartsy members only like 6 full sizes for $30. I'll figure our other deals for people who may just want to buy samples, and not commit to full sizes. Since being featured back in August I know what to expect from all of this. My response time for messages will be 48 hours, and I will be shipping items 10-14 days after receiving complete payment for each purchase. Each purchase gets processed in order of when payment has been completed. I know Heartsy features can be frustrating for the seller and buyer at times for please be patient with me.
I still have the 5 for $25 ONLY for members who bought vouchers from this past August that expire on November 20th. So the old vouchers get the 5 for $25, and the new ones from the 13th on get 6 for $30.
Please be mindful of these instruction for your vouchers as the vouchers will be verified, and those not following these instructions (the right deal for the right voucher) will have to be canceled and in need of being repurchased.
REMEMBER ONCE YOUR VOUCHER EXPIRES YOU ARE ONLY ENTITLED TO YOUR PURCHASE PRICE ONLY. Just in case you were not aware. I read it in some of the literature the Heartsy guy sent me for help in setting up my shop and being featured. I figured I would share it with you all since I didn't know that. I thought once it expired that was it, but it's not :)
I'm sure some of you have bought from me in the past, and see that not all of my colors are up. Some have already been discontinued, and the ones with glitter are in the process of being taken down. Sorry for the inconvenience I just feel since there is a debate about glitter in cosmetics I'm just taking it out all together. There is a color additive that it like glitter, but not classified as such (at least not yet) so I will be adding that in place of the actual glitter.Just figured I'd throw that in there in case you all hadn't heard.
These colors in this section will be removed at the end of the month so get them while you can!! :) You can get 20% off your total order if you use coupon code Spooky!!
Help me get enough votes to be featured on Heartsy again! I'd love to share the expierence with you all again!!! Only 10 more hours left!
http://heartsy.me/users/118816/shop_like_referral/7104/l958iv?c=promote-artist
The current sale going on til Tuesday at 11:59pm is for 20% off your entir purchase not $20 off. Sorry for the misprint!!
SALE TIME! In the spirit of the holidays I have decided to give $20 off your total order until Tuesday October 25th at 11:59pm so that you all will receive your packages by or before Halloween! Use coupon code SPOOKY before you check out. Exclusions: Heartsy vouchers, Psyche Minerals shadow of the month club (6 and 12 month), and the $25 gift certificate.
I've been going through what I have left of the materials (some discontinued themselves), and decided that the following colors/collections will be discontinued due to the lack of being able to reformulate them properly. Other factors have used to determine which ones will be removed as well.
Entire Dragon Warrior Collection: Slime, Wingslime, Wingsnake, Durran, Babble, BattleRex, Mistywing, Almiraj, and Zap Bird. BattleRex, Wingslime, and Mistywing will be available til 10/30 the others are among those unable to be reformulated
RetroPink
24k Coral
New Age Glamour
Ultraviolet Rhapsody
The Unknown
These 5 will be removed 10/30 or before if I end up using all the materials up before that date.
I will of course keep everyone updated if they become unavailable before the end date.
I apologize for the inconvenience, and thank everyone for understanding.
As soon as I reach 50 followers (I think I am at 49) I will have a giveaway which will include a $25 Heartsy Voucher for Psyche Minerals. I'm still trying to decide on what else I can add... If I come up with anything I will let you all know!
Thanks!
Since I slacked on monthly favorites I figured I'd list my summer favorites even though it's.. September.
Urban Decay - makeup setting mist (both are good). It really seemed to make my liquid makeup to last through the day during the summer
MAC's Hibiscus lipstick
MAC's So Bad Dare to Wear lipglass
MAC's Blue Moon powerpoint liner
Revlon's Grow Luscious mascara (both are nice)
Garnier Sleek & Shine balm (for blow drying)
Garnier Sleek & Shine spray (for straightners/curling irons..etc..)
Ophelia's Apothecary Blueberry Limon cleanser
Ophelia's Apothecary Green Tea Moisturizer
Ophelia's Apothecary Chamomile Neroli Hydrating Toner
I'm sure there is more (besides reisling wine, lol). I'll add anymore I remember :)
The only reason I am destashing some of my jewelry is because some I haven't worn in a while, and I would love for someone else to "love" them more than I do. That's not to say I don't love what I have purchased from Whimsy Beading, but some of the color schemes and items I don't find myself wearing as often as others (and because I'm dying to purchase her Fairy necklace.. SSSsshhhh) So to whomever is interested I'll be selling the set I had made for me here (http://dazzleglam.blogspot.com/2010/11/whimsy-beasing-etsy-review.html), Phaedra's Garland set which you can see here (http://www.etsy.com/listing/61893136/blue-zircon-swarovski-necklace-purple), and the Shades of Scarlet set which she made horozontial for me instead of the vertical one here (http://www.etsy.com/listing/43997333/red-swarovski-crystal-necklace-spiral).
I will tell you that my green verdant spiral necklace has now gone to my mother for her bday.. lucky her.. I may have to (in hopes of people interested in purchasing items) have to buy myself one since.. well I no longer have one ;)
Sorry for the delay. I was in the middle of posting this earlier (Monday) when the computer got the blue screen of death.. yippie! Anyways the winner of the give away is MrsKittyKaBoom. I will e-mail you the code for the Heartsy voucher, and make sure you give me your current address so that I may send the 1 year sample set from HiFi cosmetics that I had purchased.
CONGRATS!

Here are some items from Arden B. that I was just lusting over... damn online shopping, lol.
So i decided to go onto Artfire today to check to see if I got a message from cookoutsidethebox since I'm waiting to hear back from her in regards to setting up something more personal for my father, and came across another message from "Lex". Here we go again...
"Hi Molly,
I did answer you very politely & respectfully like I do all my customers. Your question said you wanted to put together a kit. Then you wrote about me online because I didn't answer you fast enough. Your blog says you're a makeup artist & own a mineral company. When you go to school to become a makeup artist they teach you about what colors to use with what color eyes, skin coloring, etc. The whole thing doesn't make any sense to me.
Best Wishes!
Lex"
Right so being polite and respectful is telling me my question is basically not a legit one, and that somehow asking about HER colors is me trying to further my business... sure okay why not right.. ??? So I simply stated..
"I know what I learned in school, and my jobs working as a color consultant/MUA working in cosmetics. My question was simple, and should have been answered the first or second time around. I was personally asking YOU for YOUR recommendations about YOUR colors since I know photographs to not always accurately depict the colors 100% of the time. Simple enough to the point where you shouldn't have criticized me for wanting to gain help from you to further my business. I will not be writing you again because this is futile, and your lack of people skills amazes me. I'm not the only one who thinks this nor am I the only one who has decided not to purchase from you because of this. So please be kind enough to respect my wishes to have no further contact with you."
Simple enough, no? Felt the need to keep those who have contacted me on this issue that I have personally dealt with involving "Lex" of Sobe Botanicals in the loop and updated.
Thanks to everyone for all the support, and kind words as to make sure I did not feel alone in this instance. I am glad I was able to help others to feel the same, and to make sure NOT to make the same mistake I did.
Yes again I feel the need to complain/vent since that's what blogs are for in my opinion It does stem from my original Pet Peeve post fyi. After sending another message on arefire to Sobe Botanicals asking about what colors she would suggest for green eyes seeing as she didn't have a specific kit for green eyes. Now I know enough from working as MUA for certainand being a Free Lance MUA what colors go with what eye colors, but I don't know Sobe Botanicals colors because I didn't make them obviously. I've emailed companies before like Spell Cosmetics, Meow Cosmetics, and some more Indie like Heavenly Naturals, and Concrete Minerals asking them the same questions and I;ve always received a helpful and quick response. This is the response I got from Sobe Bontanicals
"Hi Molly,
Thank you for your interest. I see you're a mineral makeup company (hence your name). When I started my company I did all the research to find out what what goes with different eyes, etc & I still continue doing my own research. I also see you wrote a pet peeve about me online, which I really don't appreciate. I'm always here for all my customers & answer all legitimate questions. Maybe I'm reading you wrong, but the question seems to be asking me what color kits you should put together for your business. I apologize, but I don't respond to those type of questions or when people ask for recipes, etc. Just as I don't think anyone else would either. I'm not being rude, but I feel those type of questions are not appropriate. Thank you again
Seriously? (that at least was the first thing that came to mind when I finished reading the message). I was asking about her colors how does that translate into making color kits for my company? This was my response.
"I had purchased a heartsy voucher, and was curious as to the shadows that would be the best to choose so that I could get items I enjoyed, and not something I was disappointed in. Sorry for the miscommunication I'll just see if heartsy will refund the voucher some how since asking for suggestions on your products means I'm asking questions for my business. Just because I own my own shop doesn't mean I am a customer like everyone else, and I should be treated with respect, not like I am only asking question for personal gain."
I'm sorry but thinking somehow I'm different just because I own a business is nonsense in my opinion. I'm like anyone I buy from Indie companies like Black Rose Minerals, Linnaeus Cosmetics, and Persephone Minerals (all of which I love). I love buying from other companies. I find it so exciting, and a lot of fun. I love seeing what what other people came up with, but NEVER do I use that for my own personal gain as can be observed from what I sell. I was looking forward to trying to Sobe Botanicals since the shadows looked really nice and that there is kaolin clay in their foundations, but this whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth. This like saying that anyone who owns a MMU company shouldn't purchase from another.
Sorry if I seem overly irritated over the whle mess. I just wanted a prompt answer because I was hoping to place an order, and receive the items before I went on vacation because I am in need of mineral foundation with kaolin clay. This is my blog, and how I feel.
So I recently messaged Sobe Botanicals asking about what products she would reccomend to someone with green eyes. I was very interested in the shadows, but seeing as some don't have swatches it is very hard to chose. Also I like skin swatches, not eye (sometimes). I guess it is just easier for me to judge the color for me not seeing it on someone else. I have not heard back about my question, and I sent it a couple of days ago, or more. Most of the people I inqure about color options I get a response that day or no longer than 1 day. I understand they are probably busy due to the heartsy vouchers, but customer service shouldn't have to suffer for that...
So Psyche Minerals has reached the $800 in profits since it has opened. Once we reach the $1k mark we will have a super fun giveaway along with several others including my Blogversary in August, 50 followers, and Psyche Minerals 1 year Anniversary in October. There are a lot if fun things to keep an eye out for!!
- Molly
I recently bought a voucher on heartsy for Hi-Fi Cosmetics, and purchased Denal (blush), Barbie Girl (shadow), Spike the Punch (Shadow), 1st anniversary collection sample set, and Here Comes the Sun collection sample set. I'll post swatches, and all the good stuff once I receive my goodies!!
Please go visit here @ http://tinyurl.com/66cg99n for all the details! She has some awesome Morgana Cryptoria shadows that look utterly amazing! I'm excited aren't you? Now go enter!! <3
http://heartsy.me/users/118816/referral?c=plink ... Here is my referral incase you haven't signed up yet. Also Psyche Minerals got the needed votes to be considered a while back so hopfully I can offer you all great deals soon!!
Thanks!
Molly
I'm sure most of you are aware of Heartsy since Grey over at LeGothique has blogged about it a couple of times. Well since her first post I signed up, and noticed one day Ophelia's Apothicary was featured... OF COURSE I BOUGHT A VOUCHER!! (and one for my bf ((best friend)) ) SSoooo since then I have also purchased one from Hi-Fo cosmetics, and I am considering SOBE Botanicals and Cook Outside the Box since they have both been onmy "Watch" list on Etsy. I figured I'd share this lovely info with you since obsessions are hard to contain to ones self, lol.
For those of you wondering Sobe's voucher sales end today, and Cook Outside the Box start tomorrow. Also from OA I bought Island Nectar Sea Sald Sugar and Shea Body Buff, Travel Size Face Care Set, and the Lemon Poppyseed Shea Butter Llip Scrub. I'll do a review once I get my lovely items. They were supposedly shipped June 23rd, but not tracking information is attached to the DC# given.. weird huh?
COTW has been changed to PDOTW (Psyche's Deal of the Week) and Suezo is this weeks!
So I figured as soon as I reach 50 followers I'll have a small giveaway. It will include a FULL SIZE of Orion Slave (one of my bestsellers), and some sample sizes which include Little Surprise.
Psyche Minerals will be up on etsy shortly, but without the PSYCHE collection for now. I'm uncomforable using The Conservatorie as a wholeseller since I know of some companies who have had to recall some of their products who have bought from them. So I will attempt to have this collection done for the fall using items from TKB instead. I promise to keep you all updated, and if I intend to release the collection earlier.
...I cannot stay away from my micas, lol. I've managed to make 7 out of the 10 colors I had in mind for my PSYCHE collection which will be coming out sometime in June. Sometime around mid to late June (around the 2nd or 3rd week) is what I am hoping for with my 6 weeks of training which is coinciding with my hiatus. Hopefully I can get some swatches up sometime soon for you all so you can see how lovely they are! Also I figured I'd still offer maybe just a COTW or a few things here or there through out my hiatus. I feel bad closing down completely for a WHOLE 6 weeks.. I just can't do large orders.. so small ones might work.. If you have something in mind that you'd like to order contact me through my email or etsy and I can set something up for you. What do you all think?
I placed an order with them on Sunday (i think) and received my samples on Friday. Out of the ones I bought some DO look like ones I could grab over at TKB,, which irritates me because I hate buying more of what I already have as do most people. Their Lemon mica looks like the POP yellow so it would make a wonderful dupe. Their Sapphire Blue mica looks like the POP blue but maybe a tad darker.. I don't have TKB's Sapphire mica so I can't compair them. Their Java mica is a darker version of TKB's Dragonfly.. it almost reminds me of the Chameloeon mica, but The Conservatorie has those to so idk.. I have to go througb the silver ones I got, but I am sure ones resembles TKB's Antiqued Silver, and Storm. I'll post some swacthes once I have some time. I just thought I would share my initial findings with you. I do like The Conservatorie's Orange Sorbet.. it'a kind of a nice bright coral with a pink shift to it (frosty).
I also bought their Golden Green, Magic Blue Golden Earth, Salmon Interference, Pink Interference, Luster Blue, Pansy, Ruby Red, watermelon, Strawberry, New Moon Black, Titanium Luster, Ruby Rose, Luster Black, Luster Baby Blue, and Lavender mica.
I just wanted to say a little thank you to everyone whose order didn't arrive after being delivered with USPS. I apologized for everything since the hubby sent them out forgetting about DC# so I wasn't able to track them. Everyone waited patiently, and let me know that they didn't receive their package. Everyone was really understanding and I sincerely appreciate it. It's hard being an indie company because I rely on everything going smooth and as planned in order for my business to grow. I got called into work on my days off delaying their replacement packaged being sent out. I hate feeling like there is nothing I can do to make it better . . . when it rains it pours, and for me that could actually really kill business. I'm just really thankful my customers have taken this graciously. So thanks a bunch! <3
For the life of me I cannot get wordpress to do anything I want.. . If someone's will to help I'd be more than happy to trade help for my shadows..
I have a bunch of things for jewelry that I just don't think I'm going to end up using. I have swarovski crystal bicones, butterflies, plus others.
I also have a bunch of products like oils, butter, and stuff from me wanting to create lotions, masks, scrubs, lip products and such. I just don't think that I'll end up using all of them.
I was just wondering if I could some how sell them seeing as etsy allows the selling of supplies...
Should I open up shop?
So far I've collected and donated $30 through the Red Cross for the Japanese Relief Fund. This little fundraiser runs til next Friday May 6th. So if you've been wanting to, and have put it off don't wait too much longer :)
Since summer is coming up soon I figured I'd share the base color information for this collection. It is being named Psyche. Since the main reason for naming my company was based on butterflies, since both my grandmother and myself have a love for them, and for anything Greek related especially mythology. Wikipedia states (plus some other sites) "The Ancient Greek word for "butterfly" is ψυχή (psȳchē), which primarily means "soul", "mind"." So that's how I came up with Psyche Minerals.
Now on to the fun stuff! Here is a list of the colors that I'll be making for this collection. These are just base colors at the moment, and later on will probably have some added shimmer or douchrome properties added to them. If you have ideas let me know! I love imput and feedback!
Goliath: a medium yellow green (Named for the Goliath Birdwing)
Karner: a medium purplish blue (Named for the Karner Blue)
Judy: RIch purple brown or maroon brown (Named for the Plum Judy)
Painted: a light or medium tan(Named for the painted lady)**I'd like this one to have turquoise reflects**
Morpho: A bright clean tealed blue (Guess which one this is named for) :)
Monarch: a clean bright light orange (take a guess)
Queen Alexandra: a medium tealed green (Named for the Queen Alexandra's Birdwing)
Zerene: bright clean yellow (Named for the Southern Dogface)
This is everything so far. There may be more or I may remove some depending on if I like the finished product or not.
What do you think?
Hey everyone! I'm taking a 6 week break to due to having a new full time job. I have 6 weeks worth of training to do starting May 6th, and I don't know what my hours will be like so I don't want to take any chances of having to extend my turnaround time, or orders not getting done on time. Sorry for the wait! I promise I'll have a nice little sale as soon as everything calms down. Thank you for understanding.
I have to say that this turned into such a pleasant surprise. She accidentally received ab glazed beads that were supposed to be regular. Based on her personal opinion, one which I hold in the highest regards, she went along with the new ab glazed beads. It turned out so wonderful. This image is courtesy of Whimsy Beading on Etsy. I thought I would share this lovely creation with you!! Enjoy!
(I'll post more pictures later)
I'm searching around the OCC site , and I'm having a hard time picking out some lip tars since they have their sale going on... For reference I'm NW15-NW20 (or sometimes NC15 to help with the red undertones). I already have Hush, Grandma, Anime, Tarred, Conquest, Memento, Fondue, and NSFW. Which do you think would be nice to add to these? I was eyeing Cha-Cha, Interlaced, Tone, Strutter, Stalker, Trollip, and Harlot. I really love their reds.. I lust over them, but I'm trying not to buy all since I don't mix them often with each other I'm just looking for "good on their own" colors for my complexion. I mean I'm not even sure what reds look good on me. I'd say all, but I know that's not true. I have a cooler complexion with red/pink undertones so I was thinking blue based, but I'm not 100% sure. I was looking to see if anyone had any suggestions since I don't really want to spend $100 on lip tars today with 3 reds (along with the others I want), lol.
Both Naga and Zuum will be at discounted prices, $1.75 instead of $3.00, for full sizes. I decided to make two COTW this week so take advantage of it while you can! This offer is good until Thursday at midnight!
Other promotions and sales at Psyche Minerals are the following:
20% Off of everything in my shop until Sunday at midnight with coupon code NewPhone20
Does anyone have any suggestions for the new color of the week?? I'll be updating it today since my shop has been "on vacation".
Also I'll be re-opening today! Yippie! Don't forget to use NewPhone20 for 20% off of everything in my shop!
I've included the information found on the website for each product including their claimes, ingredients, .. etc..

On to the reviews for each...
The Clay discovery kit was just alright... The setting powder I haven't used yet. The blush had silver glitter which I found to by annoying, but the color of the blush, Adore, itself was nice. I do have that Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed which I LOVE. The mascara was just alright. Nothing special. It didn't separate my lashes well even with my Hard Candy primer. I prefer CoverGirl's Last Blast over this any day of the week. The Amazonian Clay liner is great. I love the feel of it going on as it does not tug on the skin. It's a beautiful black that's great for added drama. It doesn't flake after a while, and lasts all day. The Amazonian Clay Shadow Stick in Bronze is amazing. I LOVE love love this.I'm actually wearing it today (again) and it lasts all day. No creasing, no flaking, and no fading occured each time I've worn it. It's a beautiful color for a subtle brown smokey eye just by itself. It applies wonderfully smooth with no tugging which is a plus :)
The only items I would purchase again would be the liner and shadow stick. I love the blushes, but not the color. I'm not a fan of glitter all over my face.. it's not for me. I am not a fan of finishing powders either. I'm fine with just my mineral foundation and a little spritz of Fix +
The Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum didn't really work for me. It suggests to use a little bit mixed in with your foundation, but seeing as I use mineral foundation it would't work that well. So I decided to add it to my primer. It didn't do anything used like that, and it also didn't work using over my primer before my foundation. It also made my skin feel tight and itchy after a while. I don't know if I could recommend this to anyone, but I'd suggest giving it a try of you were interested.
The Micronized Clay Calming Concealer was interesting. Being yellow I though it would look weird, but it actually appeared quite natural after it was buffed in. This system has a clay (normal) concealer type, and then the powder to set it. It didn't crease after several which most concealers so on me when placed under my eye. If you have dark under eye circles I don't know how it would turn out for you. I don't have horrible ones, just barely noticeable ones. I think it would do well for blemishe or red areas on the face. I only used it under my eye, but will try a little on my cheeks at a later date. It states it's for redness so I would assume it would be just fine, but again with my using mineral foundation we'll see.
Have you tried anything from their Amazonian Clay line??
I'd love to know what Relm to play so I'm not alone, lol. Let me know if you'd like me to follow you around, lol.
I need friends... ^_^
So last night/this morning I had a random dream where I was at this discount store that I was at with my family.
I found a pair of red suede thigh highs for $8 that my mother told me to get since A.) there were unique and B.) there were $8. It's just not like my mom to tell me to buy shoes. She's usually telling me to get rid of them, lol.
While looking around I came across many interesting things clothing and shoes wise.... but there were these pairs of shoes that were a peachy pink with a violet duochrome... omg these were amazing with little diamond studs on them.. except for the huge like 10 inch heel!!!! I was like OMG.. . I'd die. . lol
I figured I would share this you :) I totally want to find a pair of peachy pink shoes with a violet sheen . .. ugh I wish I knew how to dye shoes myself or even make them. I would totally do that in a heart beat!
I'll be adding if my colors are vegan or not, plus what cosmetic application they are safe for (lips, nails, eyes, face. . ).
I'm starting this today, and I don't know if I'll be able to finish it all tonight.
Since Psyche Minerals was based off of my love for many things "beautiful" including greek mythology, nature, and personal experiences (among other things) I have decided to have a collections based on different species of butterflies. A psyche in mythology means a butterfly (or so I've been told...) sssooo Ta Da - Butterfly Collection for you all!!
I'm going through different species right now, and I will definitely be putting my favorites up of course... but that is a surprise for now :)
This weeks color of the week is Giallo.
Giallo is a beautiful sparkly pale yellow with shimmer. Apply with a damp brush for a more dramatic effect. As with most mineral shadow apply over a base to lengthen the wear of it.
Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, tin oxide, iron oxide, calcium, aluminum borosilicate, silicaAll shadows are created by me, and are NEVER REPACKAGED because that wouldn't be any fun now, would it? This shadow contains no dyes. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please convo me PRIOR to buying. See shop policies for some FAQs.All are items are safely packaged in organza bag wrapped in tissue paper. Included with your purchase will be a list of ingredients in each item you've purchased. You will be refunded any overage of shipping costs via PayPal.---Follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or through my blog for latest creations, contests, and updates!Twitter: www.Twitter.com/Psyche_MineralsOur current time frame is about a week. I am currently shipping only Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the moment due to schedule issues. I do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
I recently purchased the 5 sample set from Linnaeus Cosmetics. It shipped the day after I placed my order, and arrived with in that week. I think $1.50 (shipping) for 5 saples is wonderful.
I ordered...
Cliff Line
Kalahari
Bouffant
Sprightly
Zippy
She threw in Matriarch stated she though I would like it, and to compensate for the rather large sample baggies. I honestly don't mind the larger sample baggies. I'm just happy to have my samples.
I love the colors I got. For someone who recently has been wearing more neutrals as opposed to all the bright colors I used to wear, the ones I purchased were really beautiful.I've already worn them 3-4 days out of the week, and I really relly love them.
I've used Kalahari all over the lid with Cliff Line on the middle and outter lid, and sprightly in the outer V and blended into the crease.
Cliff Line all over the lid with Zippy on the outer third and blended into the crease.
Bouffant all over the lid with Matriarch on the middle and outer lid with Sprightly on the outer lid and blended up into the crease.
Those are the three ways I've tried so far... I really want to grab some more colors, but it's so hard to pick.
I'd purchase from Linnaeus Cosmetics again .. hopefully soon so I can get the full sizes of me samples ^_^
I must add the Marin of Linnaeus Cosmetics is a pleasure to work with, and has great communication. She contacted me thanking me for my purchase, and that when she gets a chance (and some play $) she'd love to grab some of my colors as well. That makes me super happy!!
So I decided instead of diong a Monthly Favorites post each month I am going to do them every three months, and try to keep them seasoned themed. So I'll have another one at the end of june/begining of july.

So because I'm someone who in the past has played such PC games as Diablo (1 & 2), Ever Quest, and Guild Wars I deiced to pick up World of Warcraft (since the 14 day trial was only $1.59).
Not that I have a lot of time to devote to it, but it's something I have always wanted to try. I've known a lot of people who have played it, and love it ^_^ So here goes nothing!!
I stumbled across a blog which remain nameless that had commented on a package she revceived from me. She said something to the effect of it being a pain to order from me just to get full sizes. She must have ordered somewhere in late December early January because I had just "opened" October and wasn't fully equiped for full sizes nor did I offer them (since I didn't have them).
Honestly why would I go a head and buy full size jars if I didn't think I was going to sell them. My company could have totally tanked, and I would have things I'd never end up using.
She made some other comment about my hardwritting being illegible. Yes I do hand write me own lables since it is cost effective. I don't make a ton of money for what I do currently so I put all my effort/money into creating the shadows, and making amazing colors in my opinion. Also I'm barely ever somewhere where I have acess to a printer. I do everything through my phone, and fill orders
The only other "complaint" I ever have received was a girl who didn't know my samples came in baggies, and was suprised when her order arrived. She left neutral feedback, which I asked about. I do put in each sample listing the my samples come in small plastic baggies with 1/4 tsp of product.
Everyone IS intitled to THEIR opinions. I have NOTHING against that. I think that many buyers can attest to the fact that it's easy to work with me as I LOVE working with my customers. I love talking to them, helping them out, getting their feedback, and following up ony any, if at all, issues that occure. I keep them updated on their purchases, and convo them the DC# once it has sent. Again, I'm not trying to say in this that people are wrong, just that they may not know the circumstances around ordering a product from me. In that case I am not than happy to fill them in, and be completely open and honest about everything.

I ended up working at 6pm tonight instead of 4pm like normal so I decided to do a little bit of shopping.

- Mineral Foundation in NC15 ( This is the water based compact one. Now I have tried it before, but it ended up making me face feel tight which made me return it. I gave it another try today having it put on me at MAC after I had let me moisturizer set. It feels fine now, but we'll see)
- Turquatic Fragrance (i guess they are just discontinuing the bottles, and aking them bigger so don't worry!!)
- Viva Glam 5 Lipstick
- Creme D' Nude Lipstick
I came across a brand called Mineral Fusion which at the time I only thought they had body wash. I soon came to realize that they had hair care as well. At my local Meijer they are $9.99 a piece, and well that's just a little too much since I just normally use Organix or whatever is around the house. It was put on sale for $3 off at $6.99 a piece so I figured "Why not?".
The body wash I'm not to crazy about since I do have eczema, but the Volumizing shampoo ans conditioner are fanstastic. I notice my hair feels fuller after using it, and it is super soft which I love since Organix leaves mt hair super tangled...
I can't seem to find the ingredients on their website. All it says is:
":: Minerals help strengthen and maintain healthy hair by defending against the impurities and sun exposure we encounter every day.
:: Safe for color-treated hair.
:: Added hydration and nourishment from organic Aloe, Cranberry, Jojoba, and Flax Seed.
:: Two hair treatments: Fortifying and Volumizing."
I went on their website to find out that which that have hair and body care they also have a line of cosmetics. You can check it out at their website www.mineralfusion.com
If you find it on sale somewhere I highly suggest giving it a try. My local Meijer only has the Volumizing one, but I'd love to give the other a try.
Orion Slave is currently being offered at $1.75 as opposed to $3 for a full size only until Midnight since Iit'll be changed over to a new color for Friday. So take advatage of this while you still can :)
Here's sneak peek at three new colors I have been working on. They are nice and shimmery, not glittery since I haven't put any in yet.
I always go to Phyrra.net or LeGothique.com before purchasing anything to see if they or bloggers they know have dealt with them before.
I know a lot of you who have purchased from me before also choose other mineral/etsy shops, and I thought this would help you all out.

I decided to do something new over at Psyche Minerals. Each week I will choose a different color for the "Color of the Week" at which it will be priced at $1.75 instead of $3. The shipping will be the same though.
If you guys have any requests just let me know. Right now the COTW is Orion Slave which is one of my favorites.
Since I started on a Saturday a new color will come out every Friday.
Buy two get one free! Just put the colors that you want in the notes to seller before checking out!
100% of the proceeds ($6 not including shipping) will go to the Red Cross Japanese Earthquake Relief fund.Full sizes are sold in 3 gram clear jars. They are filled right where the threads on the jar starts which varies between .8 and 1.0 gram some shades are heavier and some are more fluffy so they tend to fill the jar quicker and weight less. While every effort has been made to accurately photograph colors, their appearance will vary on different monitors, and some of the more multidimensional aspects of the shadows simply cannot be captured on camera. Please refer to shade descriptions, or order samples beforehand to avoid disappointment.I do ship internationally! Just message me for a custom listing so I can apply the correct country, and amount for shipping.Ingredients: see individual listing All shadows are created by me, and are NEVER REPACKAGED because that wouldn't be any fun now, would it? You will be refunded any overage of shipping costs via PayPal.---Follow me on Twitter, FacebookTwitter: www.Twitter.com/Psyche_MineralsI just noticed that they don't sell this color anymore.... but I still wanted to blog about it. It's the perfect red for me. It goes on semi opaque with a first coat. It is a cream type of polish which is my new favorite finish! It has a nice gloss to it once it dries.
The Sephora by OPI colors, at least the ones I have tried, all seem to dry quickly, and last for a while with slght tip wear as long as you have a base and top coat.
Personal Shopper is a creamy slightly darkened true red color. Even with the first coat it doesn't appear pinkish at all which is a plus for me!! I'm not a big fan of more than 2 coats of polish aside from the base and top coat.
I wish I had a picture to show you, but my mani looks kind of beat.
Sephora does some of their Sephora by OPI colors on sale for $5, as opposed to $9.50, which are the ones they are getting rid of. I picked up Lost Without My GPS which is said to be a opaque bright vintage orange-red, but IMO leans more coral on me for some reason.
I want Special Request which is a opaque modern tangerine coral and Access 24/7 which is a opaque juicy magenta pink.
Since my pops are now all gone some of my colors have too for the time being. I'm going to try my hardest to reformulate my colors the best I can, but they might be slightly off.
I know that there are some wholesalers out there that DO sell the pops micas, but they do not have them at a resonable price for the amount of mineral shadows I sell. I know what may seem as an insiginificant amount to you in the grand scheme of things may be but add up each color that needs to be purchased, and that's half of what my regular order costs for my supplies.
I am sorry for any inconvience this may cause, but I am going to try mt hardest to get an exact match to the colors that have been pulled. If worse comes to worse I will just replace the colors all togehter with new ones.
Thanks for reading,
Molly
I am revamping the full size (3gram) jars that I sell. They will now come with a sifter, and shrink wraped so that no "mistakes" (spillage) occure during transit. These changes will take effect as soon as I received my package from my wholesaler. I currently have around 8 (or maybe less) regular ones so I will sell those first, and as soon as I sell out of those the sifter ones will now be what I only sell. If you are someone who DOES NOT like sifters please let me know as I will make sure to not add it, and just add the shrink wrap.
I was thinking of maybe going to 5 gram with sifters?.... either selling just those or in addition to the 3 gram, but for $2 more.
What do you guys think?
So this past week I did some damage since I got my tax return. I felt like splurging on myself since I haven't really in a while.

I decided to open up shop on Artfire.com I know some of the people I purchase from on Etsy also have shops there. I have not yet decided on if I am closing my Etsy shop down or not. It's hard because all of my feedback is there, and I hate to start fresh on Artfire. I mean I just hit over 100 sales recently...
You can visit my artfire shop over at http://www.artfire.com/users/PsycheMinerals
I'm just starting to add some of my shadows so there isn't much there yet,
After hearing about Etsy.com releasing buyers history and real names it has me questioning if I should continue to use their site to host my shop, Psyche Minerals. I was contemplating just moving everything over to artfire or maybe making my own site somehow but I'm not 100% sure yet what I'm going to do. Not only am I concerned for my privacy, but the privacy of my buyers, people in my circle, . .etc . .
Up until now I have had nothing but love for etsy, and everything on there. I have found such wonderful shops, and people who make the most wonderful jewelry, mineral make up, and such. I guess I just kind of feel betrayed by Etsy, and what they were supposed to stand for. Everyone there is either someone who makes their own product, sells vintage items, supplies or someone who buys handmade, vintage, or supply items.
Here's a link to OHWTO in regards to what has been going on; http://ohwto.blogspot.com/2011/03/stop-that.html
