Psyche: Summer Butterfly Collection
Since summer is coming up soon I figured I'd share the base color information for this collection. It is being named Psyche. Since the main reason for naming my company was based on butterflies, since both my grandmother and myself have a love for them, and for anything Greek related especially mythology. Wikipedia states (plus some other sites) "The Ancient Greek word for "butterfly" is ψυχή (psȳchē), which primarily means "soul", "mind"." So that's how I came up with Psyche Minerals.
Now on to the fun stuff! Here is a list of the colors that I'll be making for this collection. These are just base colors at the moment, and later on will probably have some added shimmer or douchrome properties added to them. If you have ideas let me know! I love imput and feedback!
Goliath: a medium yellow green (Named for the Goliath Birdwing)
Xerces: a light lavender (Named for the extinct Xerces Blue)
Karner: a medium purplish blue (Named for the Karner Blue)
Peirrot: a matte black (Named for the Red Peirrot) ** I'd like this one to have silver glitter with a red duochrome**
Judy: RIch purple brown or maroon brown (Named for the Plum Judy)
Painted: a light or medium tan(Named for the painted lady)**I'd like this one to have turquoise reflects**
Morpho: A bright clean tealed blue (Guess which one this is named for) :)
Monarch: a clean bright light orange (take a guess)
Queen Alexandra: a medium tealed green (Named for the Queen Alexandra's Birdwing)
Zerene: bright clean yellow (Named for the Southern Dogface)
This is everything so far. There may be more or I may remove some depending on if I like the finished product or not.
What do you think?

6 week hiatus for Psyche Minerals
Hey everyone! I'm taking a 6 week break to due to having a new full time job. I have 6 weeks worth of training to do starting May 6th, and I don't know what my hours will be like so I don't want to take any chances of having to extend my turnaround time, or orders not getting done on time. Sorry for the wait! I promise I'll have a nice little sale as soon as everything calms down. Thank you for understanding.

Newest necklace/earrings set from Whimsy Beading
I have to say that this turned into such a pleasant surprise. She accidentally received ab glazed beads that were supposed to be regular. Based on her personal opinion, one which I hold in the highest regards, she went along with the new ab glazed beads. It turned out so wonderful. This image is courtesy of Whimsy Beading on Etsy. I thought I would share this lovely creation with you!! Enjoy!
(I'll post more pictures later)

OCC help! I need suggestions...
I'm searching around the OCC site , and I'm having a hard time picking out some lip tars since they have their sale going on... For reference I'm NW15-NW20 (or sometimes NC15 to help with the red undertones). I already have Hush, Grandma, Anime, Tarred, Conquest, Memento, Fondue, and NSFW. Which do you think would be nice to add to these? I was eyeing Cha-Cha, Interlaced, Tone, Strutter, Stalker, Trollip, and Harlot. I really love their reds.. I lust over them, but I'm trying not to buy all since I don't mix them often with each other I'm just looking for "good on their own" colors for my complexion. I mean I'm not even sure what reds look good on me. I'd say all, but I know that's not true. I have a cooler complexion with red/pink undertones so I was thinking blue based, but I'm not 100% sure. I was looking to see if anyone had any suggestions since I don't really want to spend $100 on lip tars today with 3 reds (along with the others I want), lol.

On to the reviews for each...
The Clay discovery kit was just alright... The setting powder I haven't used yet. The blush had silver glitter which I found to by annoying, but the color of the blush, Adore, itself was nice. I do have that Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed which I LOVE. The mascara was just alright. Nothing special. It didn't separate my lashes well even with my Hard Candy primer. I prefer CoverGirl's Last Blast over this any day of the week. The Amazonian Clay liner is great. I love the feel of it going on as it does not tug on the skin. It's a beautiful black that's great for added drama. It doesn't flake after a while, and lasts all day. The Amazonian Clay Shadow Stick in Bronze is amazing. I LOVE love love this.I'm actually wearing it today (again) and it lasts all day. No creasing, no flaking, and no fading occured each time I've worn it. It's a beautiful color for a subtle brown smokey eye just by itself. It applies wonderfully smooth with no tugging which is a plus :)
The only items I would purchase again would be the liner and shadow stick. I love the blushes, but not the color. I'm not a fan of glitter all over my face.. it's not for me. I am not a fan of finishing powders either. I'm fine with just my mineral foundation and a little spritz of Fix +
The Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum didn't really work for me. It suggests to use a little bit mixed in with your foundation, but seeing as I use mineral foundation it would't work that well. So I decided to add it to my primer. It didn't do anything used like that, and it also didn't work using over my primer before my foundation. It also made my skin feel tight and itchy after a while. I don't know if I could recommend this to anyone, but I'd suggest giving it a try of you were interested.
The Micronized Clay Calming Concealer was interesting. Being yellow I though it would look weird, but it actually appeared quite natural after it was buffed in. This system has a clay (normal) concealer type, and then the powder to set it. It didn't crease after several which most concealers so on me when placed under my eye. If you have dark under eye circles I don't know how it would turn out for you. I don't have horrible ones, just barely noticeable ones. I think it would do well for blemishe or red areas on the face. I only used it under my eye, but will try a little on my cheeks at a later date. It states it's for redness so I would assume it would be just fine, but again with my using mineral foundation we'll see.
Have you tried anything from their Amazonian Clay line??

Dreams About Shoes??!?
So last night/this morning I had a random dream where I was at this discount store that I was at with my family.
I found a pair of red suede thigh highs for $8 that my mother told me to get since A.) there were unique and B.) there were $8. It's just not like my mom to tell me to buy shoes. She's usually telling me to get rid of them, lol.
While looking around I came across many interesting things clothing and shoes wise.... but there were these pairs of shoes that were a peachy pink with a violet duochrome... omg these were amazing with little diamond studs on them.. except for the huge like 10 inch heel!!!! I was like OMG.. . I'd die. . lol
I figured I would share this you :) I totally want to find a pair of peachy pink shoes with a violet sheen . .. ugh I wish I knew how to dye shoes myself or even make them. I would totally do that in a heart beat!

Quick Note About Psyche Minerals
Our current time frame is about a week. I am currently shipping only Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the moment due to schedule issues. I do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
Linnaeus Cosmetics - A Review
I recently purchased the 5 sample set from Linnaeus Cosmetics. It shipped the day after I placed my order, and arrived with in that week. I think $1.50 (shipping) for 5 saples is wonderful.
I ordered...
Cliff Line
Kalahari
Bouffant
Sprightly
Zippy
She threw in Matriarch stated she though I would like it, and to compensate for the rather large sample baggies. I honestly don't mind the larger sample baggies. I'm just happy to have my samples.
I love the colors I got. For someone who recently has been wearing more neutrals as opposed to all the bright colors I used to wear, the ones I purchased were really beautiful.I've already worn them 3-4 days out of the week, and I really relly love them.
I've used Kalahari all over the lid with Cliff Line on the middle and outter lid, and sprightly in the outer V and blended into the crease.
Cliff Line all over the lid with Zippy on the outer third and blended into the crease.
Bouffant all over the lid with Matriarch on the middle and outer lid with Sprightly on the outer lid and blended up into the crease.
Those are the three ways I've tried so far... I really want to grab some more colors, but it's so hard to pick.
I'd purchase from Linnaeus Cosmetics again .. hopefully soon so I can get the full sizes of me samples ^_^
I must add the Marin of Linnaeus Cosmetics is a pleasure to work with, and has great communication. She contacted me thanking me for my purchase, and that when she gets a chance (and some play $) she'd love to grab some of my colors as well. That makes me super happy!!

Totally not about makeup, but about gaming (WOW)
So because I'm someone who in the past has played such PC games as Diablo (1 & 2), Ever Quest, and Guild Wars I deiced to pick up World of Warcraft (since the 14 day trial was only $1.59).
Not that I have a lot of time to devote to it, but it's something I have always wanted to try. I've known a lot of people who have played it, and love it ^_^ So here goes nothing!!

I would never talk about a buyer. . but . .
I stumbled across a blog which remain nameless that had commented on a package she revceived from me. She said something to the effect of it being a pain to order from me just to get full sizes. She must have ordered somewhere in late December early January because I had just "opened" October and wasn't fully equiped for full sizes nor did I offer them (since I didn't have them).
Honestly why would I go a head and buy full size jars if I didn't think I was going to sell them. My company could have totally tanked, and I would have things I'd never end up using.
She made some other comment about my hardwritting being illegible. Yes I do hand write me own lables since it is cost effective. I don't make a ton of money for what I do currently so I put all my effort/money into creating the shadows, and making amazing colors in my opinion. Also I'm barely ever somewhere where I have acess to a printer. I do everything through my phone, and fill orders
The only other "complaint" I ever have received was a girl who didn't know my samples came in baggies, and was suprised when her order arrived. She left neutral feedback, which I asked about. I do put in each sample listing the my samples come in small plastic baggies with 1/4 tsp of product.
Everyone IS intitled to THEIR opinions. I have NOTHING against that. I think that many buyers can attest to the fact that it's easy to work with me as I LOVE working with my customers. I love talking to them, helping them out, getting their feedback, and following up ony any, if at all, issues that occure. I keep them updated on their purchases, and convo them the DC# once it has sent. Again, I'm not trying to say in this that people are wrong, just that they may not know the circumstances around ordering a product from me. In that case I am not than happy to fill them in, and be completely open and honest about everything.

Mineral Fusion Hair Care
I came across a brand called Mineral Fusion which at the time I only thought they had body wash. I soon came to realize that they had hair care as well. At my local Meijer they are $9.99 a piece, and well that's just a little too much since I just normally use Organix or whatever is around the house. It was put on sale for $3 off at $6.99 a piece so I figured "Why not?".
The body wash I'm not to crazy about since I do have eczema, but the Volumizing shampoo ans conditioner are fanstastic. I notice my hair feels fuller after using it, and it is super soft which I love since Organix leaves mt hair super tangled...
I can't seem to find the ingredients on their website. All it says is:
":: Minerals help strengthen and maintain healthy hair by defending against the impurities and sun exposure we encounter every day.
:: Safe for color-treated hair.
:: Added hydration and nourishment from organic Aloe, Cranberry, Jojoba, and Flax Seed.
:: Two hair treatments: Fortifying and Volumizing."
I went on their website to find out that which that have hair and body care they also have a line of cosmetics. You can check it out at their website www.mineralfusion.com
If you find it on sale somewhere I highly suggest giving it a try. My local Meijer only has the Volumizing one, but I'd love to give the other a try.
