Even though I am on a hiatus...
...I cannot stay away from my micas, lol. I've managed to make 7 out of the 10 colors I had in mind for my PSYCHE collection which will be coming out sometime in June. Sometime around mid to late June (around the 2nd or 3rd week) is what I am hoping for with my 6 weeks of training which is coinciding with my hiatus. Hopefully I can get some swatches up sometime soon for you all so you can see how lovely they are! Also I figured I'd still offer maybe just a COTW or a few things here or there through out my hiatus. I feel bad closing down completely for a WHOLE 6 weeks.. I just can't do large orders.. so small ones might work.. If you have something in mind that you'd like to order contact me through my email or etsy and I can set something up for you. What do you all think?

The Conservatorie
I placed an order with them on Sunday (i think) and received my samples on Friday. Out of the ones I bought some DO look like ones I could grab over at TKB,, which irritates me because I hate buying more of what I already have as do most people. Their Lemon mica looks like the POP yellow so it would make a wonderful dupe. Their Sapphire Blue mica looks like the POP blue but maybe a tad darker.. I don't have TKB's Sapphire mica so I can't compair them. Their Java mica is a darker version of TKB's Dragonfly.. it almost reminds me of the Chameloeon mica, but The Conservatorie has those to so idk.. I have to go througb the silver ones I got, but I am sure ones resembles TKB's Antiqued Silver, and Storm. I'll post some swacthes once I have some time. I just thought I would share my initial findings with you. I do like The Conservatorie's Orange Sorbet.. it'a kind of a nice bright coral with a pink shift to it (frosty).
I also bought their Golden Green, Magic Blue Golden Earth, Salmon Interference, Pink Interference, Luster Blue, Pansy, Ruby Red, watermelon, Strawberry, New Moon Black, Titanium Luster, Ruby Rose, Luster Black, Luster Baby Blue, and Lavender mica.

Good Customers
I just wanted to say a little thank you to everyone whose order didn't arrive after being delivered with USPS. I apologized for everything since the hubby sent them out forgetting about DC# so I wasn't able to track them. Everyone waited patiently, and let me know that they didn't receive their package. Everyone was really understanding and I sincerely appreciate it. It's hard being an indie company because I rely on everything going smooth and as planned in order for my business to grow. I got called into work on my days off delaying their replacement packaged being sent out. I hate feeling like there is nothing I can do to make it better . . . when it rains it pours, and for me that could actually really kill business. I'm just really thankful my customers have taken this graciously. So thanks a bunch! <3

Should I open a destashing shop?
I have a bunch of things for jewelry that I just don't think I'm going to end up using. I have swarovski crystal bicones, butterflies, plus others.
I also have a bunch of products like oils, butter, and stuff from me wanting to create lotions, masks, scrubs, lip products and such. I just don't think that I'll end up using all of them.
I was just wondering if I could some how sell them seeing as etsy allows the selling of supplies...
Should I open up shop?

Japanese Relief Fund so far
So far I've collected and donated $30 through the Red Cross for the Japanese Relief Fund. This little fundraiser runs til next Friday May 6th. So if you've been wanting to, and have put it off don't wait too much longer :)
Psyche: Summer Butterfly Collection
Since summer is coming up soon I figured I'd share the base color information for this collection. It is being named Psyche. Since the main reason for naming my company was based on butterflies, since both my grandmother and myself have a love for them, and for anything Greek related especially mythology. Wikipedia states (plus some other sites) "The Ancient Greek word for "butterfly" is ψυχή (psȳchē), which primarily means "soul", "mind"." So that's how I came up with Psyche Minerals.
Now on to the fun stuff! Here is a list of the colors that I'll be making for this collection. These are just base colors at the moment, and later on will probably have some added shimmer or douchrome properties added to them. If you have ideas let me know! I love imput and feedback!
Goliath: a medium yellow green (Named for the Goliath Birdwing)
Xerces: a light lavender (Named for the extinct Xerces Blue)
Karner: a medium purplish blue (Named for the Karner Blue)
Peirrot: a matte black (Named for the Red Peirrot) ** I'd like this one to have silver glitter with a red duochrome**
Judy: RIch purple brown or maroon brown (Named for the Plum Judy)
Painted: a light or medium tan(Named for the painted lady)**I'd like this one to have turquoise reflects**
Morpho: A bright clean tealed blue (Guess which one this is named for) :)
Monarch: a clean bright light orange (take a guess)
Queen Alexandra: a medium tealed green (Named for the Queen Alexandra's Birdwing)
Zerene: bright clean yellow (Named for the Southern Dogface)
This is everything so far. There may be more or I may remove some depending on if I like the finished product or not.
What do you think?

6 week hiatus for Psyche Minerals
Hey everyone! I'm taking a 6 week break to due to having a new full time job. I have 6 weeks worth of training to do starting May 6th, and I don't know what my hours will be like so I don't want to take any chances of having to extend my turnaround time, or orders not getting done on time. Sorry for the wait! I promise I'll have a nice little sale as soon as everything calms down. Thank you for understanding.

Newest necklace/earrings set from Whimsy Beading
I have to say that this turned into such a pleasant surprise. She accidentally received ab glazed beads that were supposed to be regular. Based on her personal opinion, one which I hold in the highest regards, she went along with the new ab glazed beads. It turned out so wonderful. This image is courtesy of Whimsy Beading on Etsy. I thought I would share this lovely creation with you!! Enjoy!
(I'll post more pictures later)

OCC help! I need suggestions...
I'm searching around the OCC site , and I'm having a hard time picking out some lip tars since they have their sale going on... For reference I'm NW15-NW20 (or sometimes NC15 to help with the red undertones). I already have Hush, Grandma, Anime, Tarred, Conquest, Memento, Fondue, and NSFW. Which do you think would be nice to add to these? I was eyeing Cha-Cha, Interlaced, Tone, Strutter, Stalker, Trollip, and Harlot. I really love their reds.. I lust over them, but I'm trying not to buy all since I don't mix them often with each other I'm just looking for "good on their own" colors for my complexion. I mean I'm not even sure what reds look good on me. I'd say all, but I know that's not true. I have a cooler complexion with red/pink undertones so I was thinking blue based, but I'm not 100% sure. I was looking to see if anyone had any suggestions since I don't really want to spend $100 on lip tars today with 3 reds (along with the others I want), lol.

On to the reviews for each...
The Clay discovery kit was just alright... The setting powder I haven't used yet. The blush had silver glitter which I found to by annoying, but the color of the blush, Adore, itself was nice. I do have that Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed which I LOVE. The mascara was just alright. Nothing special. It didn't separate my lashes well even with my Hard Candy primer. I prefer CoverGirl's Last Blast over this any day of the week. The Amazonian Clay liner is great. I love the feel of it going on as it does not tug on the skin. It's a beautiful black that's great for added drama. It doesn't flake after a while, and lasts all day. The Amazonian Clay Shadow Stick in Bronze is amazing. I LOVE love love this.I'm actually wearing it today (again) and it lasts all day. No creasing, no flaking, and no fading occured each time I've worn it. It's a beautiful color for a subtle brown smokey eye just by itself. It applies wonderfully smooth with no tugging which is a plus :)
The only items I would purchase again would be the liner and shadow stick. I love the blushes, but not the color. I'm not a fan of glitter all over my face.. it's not for me. I am not a fan of finishing powders either. I'm fine with just my mineral foundation and a little spritz of Fix +
The Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum didn't really work for me. It suggests to use a little bit mixed in with your foundation, but seeing as I use mineral foundation it would't work that well. So I decided to add it to my primer. It didn't do anything used like that, and it also didn't work using over my primer before my foundation. It also made my skin feel tight and itchy after a while. I don't know if I could recommend this to anyone, but I'd suggest giving it a try of you were interested.
The Micronized Clay Calming Concealer was interesting. Being yellow I though it would look weird, but it actually appeared quite natural after it was buffed in. This system has a clay (normal) concealer type, and then the powder to set it. It didn't crease after several which most concealers so on me when placed under my eye. If you have dark under eye circles I don't know how it would turn out for you. I don't have horrible ones, just barely noticeable ones. I think it would do well for blemishe or red areas on the face. I only used it under my eye, but will try a little on my cheeks at a later date. It states it's for redness so I would assume it would be just fine, but again with my using mineral foundation we'll see.
Have you tried anything from their Amazonian Clay line??
