So far I only have two colors made for this collection since I've been super busy.
The colors are:
Arrowhead: beautiful silver with red sparkles
Tiger: Shimmery white with blue sparkles
I have some more in mind I'm just sorting through all of them to find the right color combinations and such. I wanted to make one called Suzurin which would have been a nice clean bright yellow with pink sparkles, but my wholesaler does not have the type of "glitter" (it's not a true glitter it's a calcium aluminum borosilicate based "glitter") I like to use, which ends up more sparkly, in pink. I do have a fuschia color glitter, but I find even though they are sparkly the other type of "glitter" I use looks better.
Ah decisions decisions.. . . I'll be sure to update you once I have some new colors made!
I made an oops again last night..
Well I tried to make a facial mask last night when I got off of work, and I followed a recipe that was inside my "Idiot's Guide to Making Natural Beauty Products". It came out too dry, the dry ingredients being bentonite clay and coconut milk powder, so I added more carrier (peach kernel and grapeseed oil), and esentual oils and other products (evening primrose, aloe vera, vitamin e, and glycerin I think's that was all of it). Some how my little mask would not apply right. It was patchy and separated (I'm assuming from the oils).
I made two different ones, one for my face (grapeseed oil based) and one for my chest (peach kernel based) The primrose, aloe vera, glycerin, and vitamin e were put into the one for my chest. The one for my face had aloe vera, vitamin e, and glycerin.
Anyways something I though would be easy and painless was not. I want to give it another try, but I'm afraid it'll turn out useless. I do not want to end up wasting more clay and powdered milk..
Any ideas?
So as I was on my way to work today I was doing my brown in the car, no don't worry I wasn't driving, and I remembered that Grey from LeGothique had stated she didn't like pencils with wax as eventually them sort of "melt" with your body temp (or so I think I am remembering this correctly).
So I decided as soon as I have some down time I will try to come up with some brow bangers (I may change their name) which will include normal mica, but their base will be carnauba wax (another helpful hint provided by Grey). My thought is that the wax will actually help set the powder. So we'll see how that goes!!
What do you think?
